Grilled Scallops with Creamed Leeks

This one is another known recipe from French cuisine! We changed the recipe a little bit and added some curcuma and curry inside. As the result was amazingly good, we decided to add it on our blog 🙂 If you have good recipes with scallops, drop us an e-mail!

  • 10 scallops ( we bought it from Coop and the taste was delicious!)
  • 3 large leeks ( slice them thinly )
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 tablespoon of butter
  • 3 tablespoon of fresh cream
  • 1 teaspoon of curcuma
  • 1teaspoon of curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt & pepper

Cooking Time:  25 min

Level: Easy,  for 2-3 person

Heat the butter in a large pan, add the chopped leeks and cook it over a low heat. Normally it will take 5 to 8 mins. Once the leeks are soften, add the cream ( if you like more creamy go ahead 🙂 , salt, pepper, curcuma, curry and bring to a simmer ( about 2.3 mins). Once the cream becomes thick, put the pan aside and keep it warm.

Season the scallops with salt & pepper ( i always use freshly grounded pepper). Take a pan, heat the olive oil and start cooking the scallops until they become brown.

Take a plate or as you see on the picture you can buy shells from Coop, add the warm leeks and top it with grilled scallops.

You’ll see, this is an amazing dish and very easy to cook it.

Bon appétit!
