Tikka Masala Chicken and Raita

We love discovering new flavours and international recipes…

Tonight’s dinner was from India, delicious Tikka Masala with Chicken and we served it with rice and Raita ( yogurt with cucumbers and mint)

We used this paste for our dinner, you can find this brand easily in big supermarkets in Zurich! We bought it from an Indian store in Wiedikon 🙂

Enjoy it!

Cooking Time: 15 mins

Level: Easy – Serves  2 person

Ingredients:

  • 200 gr of chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoon of Tikka Masala Paste
  • Half cup of tomato sauce/ puree
  • 1 onion ( chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Raita:

  • 1 cup of yogurt
  • Some cucumber ( chopped)
  • Fresh mint / coriander / parsley

*Serve it with Rice

Take a pan, add olive oil and chopped onions. Stir the onions 2 mins and then add chicken, tomato sauce and tikka masala paste. Cook it during 15 mins over a medium heat.

If you see that the sauce is little bit thick, then add little bit of tomato sauce. Tomato sauce will diminish the spiciness of the masala, so it really helps 🙂

Once the chicken is cooked, serve it with rice and Raita.
